Media Design School is proud to announce we are joining the Visual Effects Professional’s Guild of New Zealand as a Foundational Sponsor. We are excited to host this event to celebrate our special relationship with the Visual Effects Professional’s Guild of New Zealand. We welcome staff, students and local industry to the event on our campus.
MDS’s industry centred approach to teaching and learning align with the objectives and ethos of the guild and promise to enhance our school’s exposure to industry and industry’s exposure to our students and graduates. We look forward to providing a platform for VFX professionals to connect and collaborate with staff and students.
We are proud to have assembled these speakers for the event:
Lance Lones is a 20 year veteran of the VFX industry. He has built visual effects software tools and technologies for films such as “Lord of the Rings”, “King Kong”, and “Avatar.”
Rhys Dippie is a VFX artist who has worked on film, TV and commercials for the past 20 years. He enjoys a mix of jobs from comp to 3D to development. He recently worked on Blumhouse’s M3gan.
