If you're year 11, 12 or 13 and are wondering what you want to do after highschool, come to MDS and Find your Fit in the world of Digital Design.

If you're a high school student in year 11, 12 or 13 and thinking about working in a creative field now's your chance to experience what it's like to learn, study and practice in the digital design sphere. Explore two creative career paths in workshops available for 3D Animation & VFX, Game Art, Game Programming, Interactive Design, Artificial Intelligence & Information Technology with our Find Your Fit programme.


Once signed up for two of our immersive, hands-on workshops, you’ll be guided by our award-winning faculty, creating awesome projects and learning new skills in a fun, supportive environment. Each workshop runs for three hours with a lunch break in between. Lunch will not be provided and you must bring your own. No prior knowledge is necessary for any of the sessions. 

Workshop Options:

Bachelor of Media Design - Interactive Design

This workshop has been designed to allow students to create hands on, fun and immersive interactive experiences. No previous knowledge necessary and students don’t need to bring anything with them at this stage. The session will be guided and supported by the Bachelor of Media Design Faculty. 

Bachelor of Art & Design (3D Animation & VFX)

A) Digital Sculpting - This workshop is designed to give participants experience in 3D modelling with Z Brush. Students will digitally sculpt CGI creature with this used friendly modelling tool. The session will be guided and supported by the Bachelor of Art and Design Faculty. No previous knowledge necessary. 

B) Dynamics - This workshop will give participants a taste of dynamic simulations: explosions, fluid simulations, fire and smoke. The session will be guided and supported by the Bachelor of Art and Design Faculty. No previous knowledge necessary. 

Bachelor of Creative Technologies (Game Art) - Game Asset Creation

Learn to create low poly 3D props that could be used inside a game engine. 

Bachelor of Software Engineering (Game Programming)

Create a simple game using a 3D engine that explores fundamental aspects of programming and design. 

Bachelor of Software Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) - Build a Bot Workshop

Learn to programme your own personalised chatbot using natural language processing. No prior coding experience is required – only your curiosity and enthusiasm to explore the fascinating world of artificial intelligence.

Bachelor of Information Technology (IT) - Cybersecurity Workshop 

Hands-on exploration of the world of cybersecurity and protecting yourself from hackers, phishers, and thieves when using the public Internet.
