Junior Girls in Games is an immersive full-day event that covers the basics of Game Art and Game Programming for aspirational game developers in Years 9 & 10 that identify as female.
Girls in Games includes hands-on and inspirational game design, game art, and game programming workshops. Over the course of the day, you'll be introduced to creating art assets and programming in a game engine, while gaining valuable insights from MDS's Game Development staff.
Registrations are now closed. Lunch will be provided by MDS.

Nathania Sum, Lead Animator at Space Rock Games
Guest speaker Nathania is an animator and artist who's been working in the games industry locally for the past 8+ years. She is passionate about how we use games as a medium to tell stories, animation and motion capture, and emergent narratives.
Nathania is the Lead Animator at Space Rock Games and organiser with Auckland Makes Games, a volunteer organization that runs free monthly meetups in Tāmaki Makaurau. Previously she has worked on titles such as The Green Fairy VR, Wanderer, and Wanderer: Fragments of Fate.
