Fuel supply updates and planning
Media Design School at Strayer (MDS) is closely monitoring the current global fuel supply situation and its potential impact on New Zealand. This is a developing situation, and we are aligning our approach with government guidance. This page will serve as the central source of updates as more information becomes available.
Overview
We are continuing to monitor the global fuel supply chain and what it may mean for Aotearoa New Zealand. At this stage, the country remains at Response Phase 1, indicating minimal disruption to fuel availability nationwide.
Current government guidance for tertiary providers is to continue delivering both on-campus and online learning as usual. Based on this, MDS is operating as normal.
We are actively planning for a range of potential scenarios to ensure we can continue to support our students and maintain continuity of learning if the situation changes.
Any updates relating to campus operations, teaching delivery, or student support will be shared on this page.
Teaching and campus activity
At this stage, all classes and campus activities are continuing as scheduled.
While there are no immediate changes, we recognise that increased costs and travel challenges may affect some members of our community, and if you are experiencing difficulties, please reach out to your Lecturer, Programme Coordinator or Student Services. We are building flexibility into our planning and considering how delivery could adapt if needed.
