Creative Advertising Students Earn International Recognition in New York, London and Busan
Media Design School at Strayer (MDS) Creative Advertising students are continuing to make their mark on the global creative stage, earning a fresh wave of international recognition across competitions in New York, London and Busan. From scholarship and silver award wins to multiple finalist selections, the results showcase the strength of the ideas emerging from MDS and the growing international profile of its student work.
For the second year running Creative Advertising students at MDS have picked up the Anthem Scholarship Award in New York for Unclouded You (Ground News) by Jacky Lin & Gia Darby.
They’ve also scored a Mad Stars Silver Award for Religizam (NY Times) by Richard Roach & Megan Scrivener, and a Mad Stars Crystal Award for NextFIX by Josh Masterton & Zoe Dawson. Three teams have also made it through to be awarded Creative Change Maker Finalists, which means all six students will see their ideas going forward for final judging at the 2027 Creative Conscience Awards in the UK.
Says Kate Humphries, Programme Director for Creative Advertising, Media Design School at Strayer: “Congratulations again to Rich & Megan for Religizam receiving further recognition, as well as Lili Davies & Nick Eady for Barometer (Heart of the City); and Madi Bass & Kashish Gupta for the spirited Romp like Romans (Durex).
“Three cheers to our formative industry panel, which this year was made up entirely of AdSchool alumni, for their insightful feedback which helped the students to elevate and polish up their ideas. So, without further ado, grateful high fives all around to Tim Thatch, Guy Perry and Robert Laking from McCann; Claire Joy from Young Shand; David Gillard-Allen, Jerome Toh, Lucy Lim & Frey McCahon-Jones from Dentsu; Harry Pfiszter from Colenso, and from further afield Sam Pascoe in London, Maria Masniack in Melbourne, and Adam Redmond from Droga5 in Dublin.”
“Huge thank you as always from the class to my co-pilot Kola Ogundipe and to MDS Industry Fellow Andy Blood.”
