A 'Genuine Exhibition' celebrates the power of authenticity in art and design of our Foundation students
In a world shaped by AI and sameness, showing your true self through your work is how you stand out. Every piece in this exhibition is a reflection of the person behind it, real, imperfect, and deeply personal. As AI grows more capable of copying styles, it still can’t recreate the human touch.
This exhibition showcase is a reminder that creative work made with heart and intention still matters now more than ever. The name Genuine speaks to both the authenticity and quality of the work produced by Foundation Studies students. It also nods to the vintage phrase “the genuine article,” connecting the theme to our visual identity inspired by 1930s/40s movie posters. These posters were made by hand, full of texture, grain, and imperfections that made each one unique just like the work in this exhibition.
The exhibition design style places people at the center of the story, reminding us that real humans are behind every creative decision. That focus on storytelling reflects the spirit of this show every student’s work represents their journey, growth, and voice. Genuine is more than a final showcase. It’s a celebration of creative identity, human connection, and the timeless value of being real.
