‘SRC: Sprint Robot Championship’ announced as SXSW Gaming Pitch Contestant

Gaming graduates win a nomination for their game at the distinguished SXSW Gaming Pitch Competition.

This year, Rage Quit Studio’s 'SRC: Sprint Robot Championship' was announced as a contestant for the renowned SXSW Pitch Competition, a competition that “offers gaming fans and professionals a unique chance to get a glimpse of games that will soon take the industry by storm.” Rage Quit Studio is comprised of graduates Scott Thomson, Tyrone Mills, Gabriel Magadza and Cameron Chung.

SRC was originally accepted into the MDS Studios games accelerator programme at the end of 2017, and from there, using the tools and knowledge provided, they have been able to develop it into the success that it is today.

“SRC is a science fiction racing game which combines sprint racing with parkour obstacle running. With no speed limit, players attempt to achieve the fastest lap times possible. Players race across a wide range of tracks, each one offers a unique challenge to test players skills.”

Another up and coming title, ‘Disembodied’, was recently crowned the winner of the competition, but Rage Quit Studio’s nomination is an accomplishment in of itself. Visit their website and follow them on social media to keep up with their journey.
