MDS students make 2017 Best Award student category finals

Two former Bachelor of Media Design students are in contention for student awards at the 2017 Best Design Awards.

The Best Design Awards are described as New Zealand's annual showcase of "...excellence in graphic, spatial, product and interactive design." The awards are judged by an array of domestic and international industry professionals and each discipline has both professional and student categories for designers (both emerging and established) to enter.

Recent Graphic Design graduate Tarn McConville has been nominated in the Student Graphics category for her piece, Missed Connections.

Meanwhile Bachelor of Media Design (Interactive) graduate Joseph da Gloria is contesting the Student Interactive category for his capstone project, Beanie Boy, in which he explored aspects of his own dyslexia by building an endless runner game.

Congratulations to Tarn and Joseph on making the finals of the 2017 Best Awards!
