ImagineNATIVE Film Festival screens MDS Student's Film

Media Design School student Joshua Robinson has travelled across the world to Toronto, Canada with 'Home', his insightful and moving animation film.

First year Bachelor of Art & Design student Joshua Robinson tackles domestic violence and mental health in his animation film Home. In October he travelled to Toronto where Home was screened at imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, the world’s largest presenter of indigenous screen content – an incredible festival for the film's international debut.

Home initially premiered in New Zealand in March of this year - winning the awards for Best Editor & People's Choice at the E Tū Whānau Rangatahi Film Awards at Maoriland Film Festival.

Newshub interviewed Joshua upon his return from Toronto to discuss the meaning behind his film and his experience at the imagineNATIVE festival.
