Join us at our central Auckland campus for the 2026 jam!
The Global Game Jam at MDS is back!
We'll be running from Friday to Sunday on the Auckland Anniversary weekend so you can rest on Monday after the event.
Our campus is accessible from various public transport hubs:
- 15 minute walk from Waitemata (aka Britomart) Station.
- 5 minute walk from Victoria Park
- 2 minute walk from various Wynyard Quarter bus stops
The campus will be open across the whole weekend, closing late at night and opening early in the morning.
We have 5 computer labs loaded up with game engines and tools as well as open working spaces for the ultimate jam experience.

Friday 30th January 2026
17:00 - Site Opens
17:30 - Introduction, housekeeping
18:00 - Keynote + theme reveal
18:30 - Pizza!
Saturday 31st January
8:30: open
12:00 - Recommended time to register game for upload.
Sunday 1st February
8:30 - open
15:00-17:00 - Time to begin uploading.
17:00 - Jam end & Deadline for uploading!
17:15 - Presentations + wrap up.
Then down to the pub for drinks and food!
