Student Newspaper Ad of the Year: AMI 'All the Time' campaign by Ed Knowles and Charles Twaddle
Students at The AdSchool at Media Design School are now more than half way through the course and the Art Director/Copywriter up-and-comers have been getting a taste of the so-called glam side of the job: advertising awards.

The annual NAB Newspaper Ad of the Year Awards were held last week at an event at Hopetoun Alpha. Along with the main professional prize up for grabs on the night, there are two student awards – Student Newspaper Ad of the Year and Topical Ad of the Year, both of which draw their entries from students studying advertising at Media Design School and AUT.
The ceremony was well attended by students from both schools and the industry alike, and Media Design School Course Leader Kate Humphries was very pleased to see her students win on the night.

Ed Knowles and Charles Twaddle took out the main prize for their ‘AMI – All the Time’ campaign, which used the newspaper medium to show the kind of accidents that could happen when your nose is buried behind a broadsheet.
Also celebrating last night (with a swift round of Bundaberg Ginger Beer) were students Jono Fox and Jack Delmonte whose sober look at the news-sensitive story of the 2010 school ball season took out the topical ad prize.
Well done to all finalists and winners on the night!
