Student Fee Protection
The New Zealand Government has certain requirements that all educational institutes must observe when considering student fee payments.
New Zealand law requires all private training establishments (PTEs) registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to offer protection for student fees paid and other course-related costs. Media Design School has selected Public Trust to act as independent trustee.
As soon as your fees are deposited with Public Trust, they're protected. Then as you complete your course, your fees are gradually paid to the school.
In the unlikely event that the school is unable to complete the course (due to closure, insolvency or course cancellation), Public Trust will refund any fees owed to you or pay them back to Studylink.
For more information about Fee Protect from Public Trust, visit http://www.publictrust.co.nz or phone Public Trust on 0800 494 733.
The school has offsite technical systems and internal databases to manage and protect all student electronic academic and achievement records. Hard copy records are stored onsite for one year and then generally removed to offsite storage. Any student effected by a closure of the school would recieve a written transcript of their academic progress to date and details of the components of their qualification studied and successfully completed at the time.
