Media Design School took a trifecta at The Best Design Awards on October 5 winning Gold, Silver and Bronze in the interactive design category.

More than 700 people turned out for the awards ceremony at Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland, where Media Design School senior 3D lecturer James Cunningham accepted the awards on behalf of students who worked on the films Dr Grordbort Presents: The Deadliest Game (Gold), First Contact (Silver) and Time For Change (Bronze).

Also recognised as a finalists were design students Scott Moselen and Jeanine Ann Apoderado for their work.

There were 759 entries into this year’s awards across four disciplines, of which 138 finalists were selected. The Best Design Awards are organised by The Designers Institute of New Zealand.
