Day 2 - Garlic Sausages & Sandflies From Hell
Cam and Chris, graduates from the Graduate Diploma of Advanced 3D Productions , are on a mission to capture some amazing Kiwi environments using thier trusty spherical panorama robot which they developed on the programme last year.
Starting off in Queenstown we wandered around the waterfront and captured a few spherical images of the lakeside city.We then set off for Haast on the West Coast. This journey included amazing scenery around every corner including beautiful lakes set against amazing mountains. However the further west we went the more sandflies showed up, the situation came to a head somewhere around Fantail Falls, despite being bitten several hundred times we persevered and captured several environment photos, such is the level of our commitment and professionalism.
We emerged from the pass, the openness of the seaside feeling strange after being surrounded by mountains all day. We made our way to the holiday park in Haast Beach where they don’t charge you for having a shower(unlike the holiday park in Queenstown), only classic kiwi hospitality here.
