So the first version of Photoshop was released on the 19th of February 1990, which makes photoshop a good looking 20-year-old.
A quick history
Born from the collaborative work of two brothers, Thomas and John Knoll, it’s birth dates back to late 1987, when Thomas Knoll was working as a PhD student on producing a program on his Macintosh Plus to display grayscale images on a monochrome display. This later caught his brother’s attention and together they started created a software, which could enable photo editing at a higher level. Eventually, this came to Adobe’s attention, that then decided to purchase the licence late 1988.

20 years of evolution
The software has gone through a huge amount of changes since its early start in the 90ies, and it’s now a powerful tool used around the world, from amateurs to high-caliber designers.
Personally, I first used Photoshop around 1998 and I used it to put my friend’s face on Jennifer Aniston body (and I did a great job at it) for a birthday card.
So the question that I have for you all is ” when did you first use it and why did you use it for?” Only if you can remember.
Happy Birthday Photoshop!
