Our films represent NZ on YouTube
Media Design School is proud to announce that student short films Dr Grordborts Presents: The Deadliest Game and Das Tub will represent New Zealand on the YouTube Your Film Festival channel and is calling on Kiwis to boost the films into the final 10.

Matt Aitken VFX Supervisor at Weta Digital gave Media Design School students some valuable insight into the company structure and how to make their application stand out. He also unleashed a few home truths about the commitment required to get in the door.“Some departments are more likely to hire graduates than others. These jobs will not necessarily be the most glamorous but you have to see them as a stepping stone,” he said.

Media Design School's clever and witty little CGI short films are making waves globally winning a healthy swag of awards at a selection of festivals worldwide over the past twelve months. New Zealand short film Das Tub has won Best Short Short at the Aspen Shortsfest in Colorado – considered one of the world’s top 50 leading film festivals. The win comes close on the heels of the film winning Best Director at the Honolulu Film Awards in Hawaii.
