Auckland Game Development Meetup
Media Design School recently agreed to host the monthly Auckland Game Development Meetup where a group of game developers, programmers, artists, musicians, animators and game enthusiasts meet to discuss game design and collaborate on computer game projects.

X|Media|Lab to hit Auckland in May
X|Media|Lab is coming to Auckland on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of May this year after being held in Wellington last year. AND this is a big deal! The opportunities that arise from the Lab are endless.

Becoming a game programmer takes time and effort. Besides learning the coding language C++, Graphics programming with DirectX, and prior to moving onto more in-depth parts of game programming including artificial intelligence, physics, shaders and more, well, there is the need to get down and dirty with the basics.

Sidhe Scholarship to grow the NZ Game Industry
Sidhe Interactive and Media Design School announced today the 2009 Sidhe Scholarship recipient for the Graduate Diploma of Game Development. Joshua O’Connor, graduate from the Diploma of Interactive Gaming and Australian citizen studying in New Zealand was chosen as the Sidhe Scholarship recipient for 2009.
