Current students of MDS' Diploma of Visual Effects & Motion Graphics enjoy the fun and creative aspect of Adobe AfterEffects, enabling them to create some really funky title sequences; and motion graphics are surely becoming oh-so popular on our TVs nowadays

The trend of more girls taking part in 3D animation and game development is certainly strengthening. Recently, five girls have completed their year-long diploma of 3D Computer Animation at Media Design School with some specialising in the difficult art of Animation itself.

Sidhe Scholarship to grow the NZ Game Industry
Sidhe Interactive and Media Design School announced today the 2009 Sidhe Scholarship recipient for the Graduate Diploma of Game Development. Joshua O’Connor, graduate from the Diploma of Interactive Gaming and Australian citizen studying in New Zealand was chosen as the Sidhe Scholarship recipient for 2009.

Axis awards: the winners, the winners and the other winners
One of the New Zealand ad industry's biggest nights was held on February 27 - the 2009 Axis Awards. Our graduates were there in force, picking up 32 awards between 14 people. A whole raft of Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were given to the grads, for work in a whole range of categories. Congratulations everyone!
